"Wonderfully, reassuringly, imuttably old school. Italian cooked with care and love. Excellent wine menu. Epic cheese list. Silky service. A restaurant for adults."

Metro Reviews

"Chef Vince Soresi is one of the best Italian cooks in the state which puts Galileo's food at the top of the Italian pile. His seasonal menu is about simple flavours made loud by impeccable technique and topnotch produce. Everything is made in-house down to the casareccio bread."

The Hot 100 Restaurants, Bars, Pubs and Cafés

"Traditional antipasto, silky-smooth pasta and succulent roast meats. That's what a classic meal at Galileo is made of. Forget the foams, gels and extrusions. If you want to feel like you're dinning in a typical Italian trattoria, Galileo comes up trumps every time. Try it for a Friday lunch. You won't leave before 5pm."

Top 20 dishes that wowed WA in 2013

Rotisserie Duck - "Could Chef Vince Soresi be the only Italian Zen Master we know? The quietly spoken magician plates up many a dish to dream about (his famous meatballs are very rock star) but it is the rotisserie duck which brings us to our knees in supplication. Crispy skin, moist flesh, well-rendered fat, dark mahogany in colour and scented from the wood-fired rotisserie. Perfection."
