Galileo was opened in 2004 through the collaborative efforts of head chef, Vincenzo Soresi and general manager, Una Hosgood. Together, they desired to create a new kind of restaurant – one that offered an authentic Italian food experience in a humble, yet intimate environment.

 

Their dedication to providing customers with a combination of wholesome, rustic flavours with unmatched personable service has earned Galileo a well-founded reputation on the Perth dining scene.

 

Vince’s commitment to using only seasonal, fresh produce means that the menu is constantly adapting. This desire to remain true to his roots has reaped the rewards, with Galileo winning a number of awards and glowing reviews, several of which have appeared in the Australian Good Food Guide, Australian Gourmet Traveller, Qantas Australian In-flight Magazine, Sunday Times STM, West Australian, Urbanspoon and Trip Advisor.

 

Galileo is a fully-licensed establishment, offering a wine list that boasts over 400 wines from around the world. Carefully-compiled by head chef, Vincenzo Soresi this list contains wines from Australia, New Zealand, France, America and Italy, all of which have been chosen as the perfect match for the restaurant’s rustic cooking.
